Heavy Weapons

Full Recoil Meets Accurate Engagement

The Gun Active Recoil (GAR®) Manager is a full-force, full rate-of-fire weapons simulator created by ACME® that uses electro-mechanical components to create recoil. This teaches servicemembers to anticipate, react to and manage recoil forces to keep the aim point on target—in addition to feeding, loading, arming and firing the weapon.

The GAR’s weapon body cradle can easily be reconfigured to support a variety of weapons, including:

Glock 17/22 Non-Gun

Maximum Realism, Maximum Safety

VirTra’s laser-based Blue Non-Gun Glock 17/22 is designed to help military personnel better train using lethal force options on VirTra simulators. The blue exterior improves safety, as the color mitigates real weapons being brought into the training environment. For maximum realism, the replicated shape and weight of a real Glock 17/22 prevents training scars.

The Non-Gun is in full compliance with federal firearms agreements and regulations.

Realistic Features Allow for Skill Transfer

  • Accessories: Compatible with VirTra rail mount training flashlight.
  • Compatible: Works with all VirTra simulators and suites.
  • Compliant: Meets federal firearms agreements and regulations. Compliant with FFL agreement as a non-gun.
  • Durable: Drop tested at six feet, maximizing efficiency for proper loading and unloading.
  • Efficient: Ambidextrous usability for left- and right-hand users.
  • True-to-Life Training: Replicated shape and weight for a real Glock 17/22.
  • Reliable: Shot testing durability at 5x more than competitors, with over 25,000 shots tested.
  • Safe: Blue color mitigates real firearms being brought into the training environment. Class 1A (<0.850 mw) laser safe under all conditions of normal use.

Tube Launchers

Utilize Weapons Inside a Controlled Environment

VirTra’s tube launchers utilize 37MM and 40MM laser-based sponge rounds. During training, servicemembers can use these weapons to shoot tear gas, smoke or rubber rounds while practicing concealment or riot control. As the trainee pulls the trigger, the simulator immediately reacts by showing the launcher’s effect on-screen.

Launchers are used in both V-Author and V-Marksmanship.

TMaR

Advance Debriefs with Real-Time Playback

The TMaR—Trainee Monitoring and Recording—accessory is a camera and microphone. During scenarios, TMaR monitors and records a trainee’s performance. After, instructors can properly debrief by replaying every aspect of the scenario on the simulator and analyze the trainee’s movements, timing and shot placements. The video is synchronized with the simulator, making it easier for trainees and instructors to see exactly what the participant was doing at any given time.
